So, to jump right in, I wanted to discuss the literary world. I was on social media, and I read this status where someone said what they were tired of reading the same type of stories. I can somewhat relate because some stories are the same, and what I mean by that is some of the books have similar storylines. Now, that's not uncommon as there are some alike mines in the world. Therefore, some stories will be the same, primarily if you write in the same genre. However, you one have to think outside of the box. Take, for instance, my stories have an Urban setting, but they're not just about drug dealers, clothing, money, jewelry, or typical things that you may read about in some books. I hope you guys enjoy! 1.)WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME AN AUTHOR? • My husband had been trying for a while to get me to complete a book, but honestly, I didn’t know if I could or not. However, the opportunity presented itself when I went on my maternity leave late, last year. I’m not sure what it was, but something just gave me the courage to go ahead and complete one of the stories that I’d had in my head for a while. Once I finished my manuscript, I contacted several small publishers; all of which I heard back from, except for one. At that point, I prayed about it, talked it over with my husband and the rest of my family, and then I made my decision.
